- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch pans. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another. Combine and add hot coffee. Pour into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Step 2: For the mousse, melt chocolate and let cool. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, then fold in the chocolate.
- Step 3: Place one cake layer on a stand, spread mousse evenly, and top with the second layer. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Step 4: For the ganache, heat cream and pour over chocolate chips. Stir until glossy. Let cool slightly, then pour over the cake for a smooth drip.
- Step 5: Garnish with chocolate curls or shavings before serving.
Notes
Chill the cake before adding ganache to achieve a clean drip. Use a mix of dark and milk chocolate for balanced flavor.
