Ingredients

Pink Gelatin Ingredients
  • 1 box strawberry gelatin mix 3-ounce box
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping thawed
Optional Garnish
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping for serving
  • 4 strawberries halved, for garnish

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups
  • 8-inch Square Dish or Gelatin Mold

Method

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the strawberry gelatin mix. Pour the boiling water over it and whisk for 2 minutes, or until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the cold water and mix until combined. Let the mixture cool for 5 to 10 minutes so it is warm, not hot.
  3. Whisk in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping gently until the mixture is evenly blended and pale pink.
  4. Pour the pink gelatin mixture into an 8-inch square dish or a lightly greased gelatin mold. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  6. Top with extra whipped topping and halved strawberries if desired. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Measure the liquid carefully so the gelatin sets properly.
  • Let the gelatin cool slightly before adding creamy ingredients so the mixture stays smooth.
  • For the cleanest slices, chill the dessert overnight.
  • You can pour the mixture into individual cups instead of a large dish for easy party servings.
