Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup if needed
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, or chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, blueberries, or banana slices
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons granola
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon seeds such as chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, or hemp seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter optional for swirling

Equipment

  • Small sheet pan
  • Tray
  • Shallow container
  • Freezer-safe Container
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Small microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula
  • Small knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a small sheet pan, tray, or freezer-safe container with parchment paper. Make sure the paper comes up the sides a little so it is easy to lift the frozen bark out later. This step saves time and prevents sticking.
  2. Mix the Yogurt Base: In a bowl, stir the Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy. If using plain yogurt, mix in a little honey, maple syrup, or vanilla for extra flavor. For a healthy chocolate yogurt bark, keep the sweetener light. Spread the yogurt onto the lined pan in an even layer.
  3. Add the Chocolate: Melt dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate in short bursts in the microwave, stirring between each round until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the yogurt, then use a spoon or knife to swirl it gently. For yogurt bark with chocolate chips, sprinkle a few on top instead of swirling.
  4. Sprinkle on Toppings: Scatter berries, banana slices, chopped nuts, granola, or seeds across the top. Press larger toppings in lightly so they stay in place as the bark freezes. This is a great moment to build flavor, color, and crunch without making the bark too heavy.
  5. Freeze and Break Into Pieces: Place the tray in the freezer and let it freeze until completely firm, usually about 3 to 4 hours. Once frozen, lift it out using the parchment paper and break it into rough pieces. Store the pieces in a freezer-safe container and grab one whenever a frozen chocolate yogurt snack sounds good.

Notes

  • Use thick Greek yogurt for the best texture and flavor.
  • Aim for a layer that is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  • Pat washed berries dry before adding them so they do not create extra ice.
  • Keep toppings balanced so the yogurt base still shines through.
  • Store the bark in a freezer-safe container or bag with parchment between layers if needed.
  • Keep the container well sealed so the bark does not absorb freezer odors.
